Dear Assistant (meaning you, Yun),
I will be away for most of the on business and will be back late. I am stopping by the tea market in the neighboring town to try to find the blended tea that the old gentleman from yesterday talked about. During the time that I am gone, please keep the agency tidy and tell any client who visits to leave a request. I will see to them when I return.
Sincerely,
Detective
PS. Since you are probably sleeping in and it should be around 11:00 when you read this, the mail would have arrived. So, go downstairs and retrieve them, otherwise…
To unlock the mystery...
Scratching his head, Yun yawned. “How troublesome. And no, I did not sleep in today,” he addressed the note smugly. “Because now it is only,” he paused as he looked at the clock. A gloomy air hung over him as he bowed his head. “Fine, fine. I’ll go check the mailbox.”
As Yun took heavy steps down the stairs, the tick tock of the clock in the study announced that it was just a minute after eleven.
Stepping out to the mid-morning cold, Yun wrapped his arms around himself. “Please don’t let there be any requests, please don’t let there be any work,” he chanted quietly.
Yun took out the key to the drop-box and peeked inside. Groaning slightly, he took out a white envelope addressed to the detective.
“Curse the heavens! Once again you are victorious, Detective!”
After a short rant about the young boy, Yun slipped back inside to place the request in Detective’s study.
“Ahh, after such hard work, I must treat myself to some delicious food! Which means…Chef Yun’s Super Culinary Adventure Time!!!” Yun shouted joyously as he skipped down to the kitchen to cook a meal.
Note: “Chef Yun’s Super Culinary Adventure Time” usually results in the following: 1) the most delicious meal ever and 2) complete destruction of the kitchen.
